       青島市木工機械協(xié)會于2003年12月18日正式成立。

       青島市木工機械產(chǎn)業(yè)已成為我國木工機械行業(yè)的一支主力軍，成為大陸木工機械制造廠家最密集、數(shù)量最多、并與臺灣、順德并齊的三大生產(chǎn)基地之一。產(chǎn)品包括木工機床、人造板機械、木工刀具、木材處理設(shè)備四大類、五十多個系列、1200多種，各類木工機械年生產(chǎn)能力達30萬臺，累計申報各種專利近700項。特別是近幾年來，青島木工機械行業(yè)日益壯大，順利完成了多品種、系列化的轉(zhuǎn)變，企業(yè)規(guī)模在不斷擴大，并在發(fā)展中形成了自己的特色。

       2008年6月21日,青島市被授予“中國木工機械名城”榮譽稱號,成為全國第一個被授予該稱號的城市。

June 21, 2008, Qingdao City, was awarded the "Famous City of Chinese woodworking Machinery", becoming the first city to be granted the title.
